It's no exaggeration: New Jersey was hard hit by Hurricane Sandy, and Oxford was no exception. Many have suffered greatly, and it is not yet fully known the full extent of the damage or how long it will be before we all return to normal. As of November 3rd, many were still without power and water, and gas is being rationed in 8 counties, including ours. At Oxford Second, thankfully we had only minor damage to our facilities. One of the large trees along the creek behind our buildings fell through a fence and smashed the children's treehouse. But it fell short of hitting the Resource Center, for which we are very grateful. Our thoughts and prayers continue for all those impacted by this storm. Stay tuned as we join in helping our community to recover. |
