Members of Oxford Second had a wonderful surprise this weekend - a visit from a former pastor, the Rev. Dr. Roger Patton and his wife Mary. Dr. Patton first served as a youth pastor from 1958 to 1960 while still a student at Princeton Seminary. Following his graduation, he was installed and served as pastor of both Oxford Second and Oxford First in Hazen until November of 1962.

Oxford Second's Roast Beef Supper was well-timed for their visit, and they also attended Sunday worship. It was a time of catching up with old friends, many who were in his Youth group. The Pattons are out from Wisconsin for Princeton Seminary's 2010 Alumni/ae Reunion, and celebrating the 50th anniversary of his graduation.
