Thanks to all who joined us for our recent Valentine's Brunch! The weather cooperated, and we had a great turn-out.
As always, the food was delicious, and lovingly prepared by the men of Oxford Second. Great job!

Our doors will be open as usual at 10:30 am on Christmas morning, and we hope you'll come join us to welcome Mary and Joseph, and to wish our baby Jesus a "Happy Birthday!"
Our service will be a little shorter than usual, recognizing that many will be juggling family traditions, too.
In the spirit of the season, there will also be an "Open House" in the Chapel, from around 11:00 am - 12:30 pm. Even if you can't make it to the service, we welcome you to stop by with family and friends to "say Hi," even if just for a few minutes. We'll have carols and refreshments, and look forward to personally wishing you a "Merry Christmas!" |

One of our favorite traditions each year is our annual Christmas Eve Service. This year, once again we will be gathering in the brick church to hear the timeless story of Jesus' birth, and to sing favorite carols.
Our grand finale is "passing the light," as we light our candles and sing our closing song, "Silent Night." We hope you'll bring friends and family, and come join us for this joyful, music-filled evening.

Enjoy good food while you visit with friends and family... In fact, bring them along! We'll do the cooking and clean-up - you relax and enjoy!

"Advent: a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus."
Our journey begins this week, as we consider the greatest gift we could ever receive, and the One who is with us through thick and thin. The One who came to show us the way. The One who never gives up on us.
This gift is not for sale, but paid for at the ultimate price.
We hope you'll come join us in celebrating the "reason for the season." |

Good weather, good food, good music, and a wonderful group of people made for a great Thanksgiving celebration this year, as Oxford Second hosted its second annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner.
Thanks to generous donations from ARAMARK Food Services at Princeton Theological Seminary, and the Oxford Central Student Council, there was an abundance of good food for everyone, with even enough to send home leftovers.
Church pianist Robert Jelks provided life music, and you can watch an excerpt here. Visit the Oxford Second facebook page to see photos from this special day.
Many thanks to all who attended, assisted and donated - we look forward to serving even more members of our community next year!

Come join your friends as we ready our Church for Christmas with the annual "Hanging of the Greens." We'll meet at the church at 5 pm on Friday, November 25th, to get things ready for the start of Advent on Sunday.
Together, it shouldn't take long! Then afterward, join us for dinner next door in the Chapel. A great way to start a beautiful season. |
