Time IS Money!

What if you could get what you NEED
by doing what you CAN?

We all know that folks are strapped for cash right now.

But what if there was a way to get what you need without using money? What if you could trade doing the things you enjoy -- or that you do anyway -- for things you need or want?

Many communities are banding together and doing this already - not just here in the US, but all over the world. And it's working!

It's called "TimeBanking," and for every hour you do something for someone else, you earn an hour (a "time credit") which you can use to have someone do something for you. It's that simple.

Hours can be earned for anything from walking a dog to giving a ride; fixing a leaky toilet to painting a room; baking a cake to picking up groceries; mowing a lawn to patching a roof -- the possibilities are endless, and one hour equals one hour, for any service provided. Whatever the age or ability, EVERYONE has something to offer.

In addition, Time Banks are being used successfully to teach new skills and even to help people find jobs. Monthly gatherings help build community, and give you a chance to know the folks you will be trading time with.

But most Time Banks are unfortunately too far away for Warren County residents. So we're starting our own Time Bank right here in Oxford and the surrounding area.

Would you like to be part of a Time Bank in our community?  Contact us if you would like to join, or want more information!
