For many, this last week has been painful, challenging and disorienting. Another deadly school shooting has left 3 teenagers dead. An "enormous outbreak" of tornadoes ripped across the US, destroying homes, towns and lives. Within our own community, there have been unexpected losses. Jesus' disciples were dealing with serious challenges of their own, and thought they knew how the Messiah should save the day. But as Jesus made abundantly clear, we humans have NO IDEA how God works. We still don't, and if we are to follow, we must trust him, get out of the way, and let him lead. |
