Not surprisingly, those who were close to Jesus were in shock. To go in a matter of days from a parade with deafening cheers, to the equally deafening silence of his grave, was more than they could bear. And then to find that he's alive? That his promise was in fact true -- could there be greater joy? But there are still many questions to be answered. What happened during those days between celebration and resurrection? Knowing that his death was eminent, how did Jesus spend those last days before he was crucified? How is that even in the throes of a tortuous death, it is Jesus who truly cares? |
