Where's the Gratitude?

As Jesus traveled to Jerusalem, he came upon 10 lepers. Though they kept their distance, they shouted out to him, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” And as the story goes,

"One of them, when he realized that he was healed, turned around and came back, shouting his gratitude, glorifying God. He kneeled at Jesus’ feet, so grateful. He couldn’t thank him enough—and he was a Samaritan. Jesus said, “Were not ten healed? Where are the nine?" (from Eugene Peterson's, "The Message)

Sadly, so often we are quick to see what is lacking in our lives, but slow to be grateful. And in doing so, we rob ourselves in ways we might not even realize.
