We Hate to Wait

Has there ever been a time in your life when you actually enjoyed waiting for something? Probably not! And most of our associations with waiting are not good ones - whether it's waiting in line, getting stuck in traffic, waiting to hear test results, waiting to get that check in the mail, waiting to meet "the One" you hope to spend your life with, waiting for answers to prayers -- the list goes on. Waiting is hard.

But waiting is not necessarily bad, even in challenging situations. God calls us to keep watch, to be attentive. No one knows how long the wait will be, but we have the promise and assurance that God is in it all. And if we're not paying attention, we'll never know what we're missing.
