We All Worship Something

Most have heard the story. While Moses is on the mountaintop with God, the people in the valley become impatient. It feels like he's been gone forever, and they begin to wonder if he will ever return. So they pressure Aaron to make gods for them, and a golden calf is from a collection of all their gold rings. But Aaron doesn't stop there - soon he is also making an altar to the golden calf, and they celebrate with a wild party.

Why would they do this? Especially when the one true God has brought them out of slavery, and shown them his faithfulness daily for years?
