You've probably heard the story... Jesus tells about a widow who
has been wronged, and who is determined to get justice. So she pesters
the local judge until he finally gives in and gets her what she wants.
He doesn't do it out of concern her for her or respect for God - he just
wants to make it stop! The Scripture tells us that we are
to pray without ceasing. But the point of this story is not that if we
just pester God enough, He'll finally given in and give us our way. He
loves us too much, and too often what we want is not really in our best
