In the rollercoaster ride that followed that last supper, Jesus' followers saw their world turned upside down. They cowered and hid in fear. They mourned the loss of their trusted leader, and wondered what to do next. They thought their world was over. And then they were shocked to find out that it was true -- Jesus was alive! He walked among them, he ate with them, he invited them to see and touch his scars. Though his time with them was brief, they were deeply encouraged, strengthened in their faith and filled with a new hope. As we look at our own faith journeys in a world rocked by change, we can find hope and encouragement in these early beginings of the church. And God continues to use ordinary people to do extraordinary things. What might God have in mind for us?
