We live in a world that seems to believe "big" is always better; a world of "super-sizers" and "McMansions." So it was interesting to hear about family who moved from their 1500 square foot home to a tiny house they built themselves, that is only 168 square feet! While their move was due to financial hardship, and is expected to be only temporary, they have experienced surprising benefits, and they are looking at the world in whole a new way. Of the many stories Jesus told, one of the most memorable is the tale of the mustard seed, the tiniest of all seeds, that grows to a large size. God continues to provide big things from small, unexpected sources. And if we're paying attention, he helps us re-think what is really "big" and of value.
