Radically Changed

Is it really possible for someone to change? We often forget that one of the most radically changed people in the Bible was Paul -- that same Paul who devoted his life to following Jesus and sharing His good news. But it wasn't always that way. He started out aggressively persecuting Christians, and it took a dramatic experience of Christ to make him see the truth and radically change. What is important to remember about this is that Paul was a man of strong Jewish faith, and saw himself originally as simply defending that faith, and believed he was doing the right thing. God had to open Paul's eyes and his heart to the new thing He was doing - something that would have been unimaginable to Paul's ancestors.

Whether we realize it or not, we are all in a process of radical change and growth, as He works to shape us into the loving people we are meant to be.
