Peter had an experience of a lifetime. High on a mountaintop with Jesus, and the brothers James and John, Peter was there when "a light-radiant cloud enveloped them, and sounding from deep in the cloud a voice: “'This is my Son, marked by my love, focus of my delight. Listen to him.'” (Matthew 17:5, The Message) Years later, he continued to share the experience that touched him so deeply. He personally saw it. He personally heard it. And he wanted everyone to experience the the transformation that he did.

We may never have a dramatic mountaintop moment like Peter. But God is showing Himself in a variety of ways all the time. The question is, are paying attention? And like Peter, are we passing it on?
