One of the saddest misunderstandings about the Church is that only those who are perfect are welcome. Nothing could be further from the truth! And while we are called to live honorable lives "doing good and not evil," we would have no need of a Savior if we had already achieved that level of goodness. No, the Church is more like a hospital for the wounded and the broken than a center for the saints. It is not about good appearances, but about trying to do what is right for the right reasons.
