It seems almost counter-intuitive. In hard times, you might expect that people would be even more aggressively looking out just for themselves. And yet, once again, we see many examples of just the opposite following Hurricane Irene. Story after story tells of people - often unasked - looking out for others and finding ways to help, "because it's the right thing to do." Being loving and caring IS the right thing to do - and not just in challenging times, not just toward friends and relatives. We were created to love and care for others - even our enemies - all the time. It IS the right thing to do, and everyone benefits. The message for September 4th is now ready for download. |
