As we all know, these are not the easiest of times. If you follow the daily news, you can quickly overwhelmed by the multitude of tragic events our world faces on a daily basis. But our lessons today remind us that this is nothing new. And in spite of hardship and difficulty, God helps us make sense of our world and it's challenges, puts it in perspective. He also gives us a hope for the future. But to find our future, we have to let go of the best, and that can be easier said than done.
