Living in Exile

posted Dec 25, 2016, 1:26 PM by web feat
On this Christmas day, we think back to a special day so many years ago when Jesus was born to his mother Mary in cow's stall, and where his first bed was a manger of straw. We celebrate the visits by wise men who have found Jesus by following a star, and who bring him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. And typically we end the story in that Christmas card moment.

But there is more - so much more. And to fully appreciate the magnitude of the gift we have given, we must stop at the joyous birth. We need to hear the whole story, and the sacrifices made in a chaotic world.
