It All Started with a Snake...

Are you happy with your life? What do you think would make it better?

As we start this season leading up to Easter (40 days commonly known as "Lent"), we have an opportunity to look at our lives and think about what's going right, what's going wrong, and why.

A good place to start is the story of Adam and Eve. Life was perfect for them in the Garden of Eden -- until the temptation to be like God ended their time in paradise. And humankind has been struggling with temptations and the desire to be little gods ever sense. The "snakes" in various guises are still out there, still selling us a bill of goods, still telling us what we want to hear, still convincing us that this next tempting "great thing" will finally satisfy. But giving into our temptations just takes us that much further from Eden.

So how do we deal with temptation? How do we fill the hole in our lives that make us so vulnerable to temptation? And is there any hope for us when we fail to resist?

The message for March 13th is now ready for download.
