When times are tough, it's easy to think that if we just had more money, all our problems would magically disappear. Even when we have "enough," we may believe that life would be so much better if we just had "more." It's a common belief that wealth is the magical solution to everything, and the source of real happiness. But research shows that the more we have, the more we want, with little satisfaction. And when money becomes our god, we don't own our stuff, our stuff owns us.

In the Biblical story of the "rich young ruler," we see a young man that is doing so much right. But in the end, it becomes evident that he is a slave to his money, holding tight to his stuff, and not seeing the huge cost. He thought he "had it all," and sadly walked away from the One who points the way to REAL wealth.
