Typhoon devastation in the Philippines. An economy still struggling to recover. Personal losses of friends and family. Loved ones struggling with disease and illness. The list goes on, and o ur prayer requests on any Sunday morning certainly reflect the many challenges we face every day. So, it is encouraging to hear the promises in Isaiah 65:
“Pay close attention now:
I’m creating new heavens and a new earth.
All the earlier troubles, chaos, and pain
are things of the past, to be forgotten.
Look ahead with joy.
Anticipate what I’m creating..." (Isaiah 65:17-18)
