Eyes to See, Hearts to Love

Do you ever feel discouraged and helpless? A storm blows through, destroying homes and whole towns. An illness like Ebola strikes, and feels out of control. Innocent people are killed in senseless wars. And what - if anything - can WE do to make things better?

We get a hint in this well known story about "the sheep and the goats" -
I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.’

It's not about doing big things. It's about seeing the need around us, and doing what we can. As a wise teacher once said, "Whatever you can DO is enough." And those little things can multiply into big things.
