The election is over, but many are still anxious and afraid for what lies ahead. We have seen great anger, great division, and great pain. And some may wonder if we can ever come together as one. I believe we can. Many years ago, a Catholic priest and I had a discussion I will always cherish. We were discussing our shared sadness over the many things that seem to divide us, and he said, "We have so much in common, we could spend a LIFETIME on the things that unite us. So why do we waste even a moment on those things that divide us? |
