evenings, but you can tell it's available when the number of minutes is
included.
The Scriptures used
are typically either from the NIV version of the Bible, or Eugene
Peterson's version, "The Message," which uses more contemporary
language. If you click on the link, it will take you to the reading on
the Bible Gateway webpage. There you can click on the Bible version to
change it. Reading the lesson in different versions can be most helpful
in deepening understanding of a passage. You also can easily access the
Scripture before and after the selected reading. This is strongly
recommended, as knowing the context is also important for understanding a
passage.
